Three Little Pigs

My marriage plans were a little weird, as I was going through an immigration process that would give me the proper visa to move from Brazil to Puerto Rico, to be able to get married to my Luis. In that process I had to spend a month in my brother's house, in preparation for the interview that would take place in Rio de Janeiro (at that point in time I was living in my parent's farm in the Amazon). During that month I decided to stitch this series of cute pigs.

I did the trio with the fence in a matter of days, but the other two ended up being a project for after I got married. I finished the watermelon pigs last (about 2 years ago) and now they're all sharing wall space.

My return to Cross Stitch

In 2006 I was visiting my grandmother, and as she lives in a small town there wasn't much to do. I was bit bored and ended up finding an old Italian Magazine (Suzana, 1993) with a beautiful dining room sampler pattern, and as I had just gotten engaged I decided I'd stitch it for my future house. I hadn't stitched in 10 years but that same day I went out and got the fabric, floss, needles, scissors and started work on it. So this is what brought me back to stitching, and I proudly have it hanging on my dining room wall.
